This Privacy Policy explains how Memedia ("we," "our," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. Memedia is a personal media sharing companion that helps you save, organize, and forward media (images, videos, links) to your contacts via apps like WhatsApp. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
To provide the app's features, we collect the following:
When you sign in, we receive your email address, display name, and a unique user identifier provided by the sign-in provider. This information is used solely to authenticate your account and sync your data across devices.
Memedia includes an in-app contact list so you can quickly forward saved media to specific people. When you tap a phone-book contact to add them to Memedia, the name and phone number of that contact are saved to your private cloud storage under your own account. We do not upload your entire phone book — only the contacts you explicitly choose to add. Contacts you add are visible only to you.
Standard platform-level information such as device model, OS version, and anonymous installation identifiers may be processed by our service providers (Firebase, Google, Apple) to keep the app running. Memedia does not include any third-party advertising or marketing SDKs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the app.
The app requests the following permissions on your device. You can grant or revoke any of them at any time from your device settings.

We use a small number of trusted service providers. Each has its own privacy policy that governs the data they process on our behalf.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, saved items, contacts, messages, and uploaded files from our active systems within a reasonable period. Backups may retain copies for a short additional window before being overwritten in the normal course of business.

Memedia is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We rely on industry-standard security practices from our infrastructure providers, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, Firebase security rules to restrict access to your data, and platform-level protections provided by iOS and Android. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using commercially reasonable safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app. Continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
